My Approach

Guiding Your Journey

Liz’s Integrative Approach to Counseling & Coaching

At Perpetual Healing, I believe that lasting change happens when we engage the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. My approach is compassionate, integrative, and tailored to your unique needs and life experiences. Before becoming a licensed therapist, I worked as a registered nurse, where I saw firsthand how physical health, emotional struggles, and the nervous system are deeply connected. That experience shaped my commitment to whole-body healing and continues to guide the way I support clients today. Whether you’re navigating trauma, recovering from addiction, moving through burnout, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, our work together honors all parts of who you are.

I draw from both evidence-based therapy and holistic practices to create a grounded, practical path toward healing and transformation. Every session is rooted in a client-centered, trauma-informed relationship – because I believe you are the expert on your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and respect. My work is always inclusive and adaptable: whether you identify with a faith tradition, feel spiritually curious, or prefer a non-spiritual approach, I meet you exactly where you are.

As both a therapist and a person in recovery, I understand that healing is not just about abstinence. Healing in recovery is about rediscovering one’s spirit, creativity, and sense of self. Five years of sobriety have taught me that recovery is a deeply spiritual and transformative path, and I’m honored to walk alongside others on their journey toward freedom and self-discovery.

What We Do

Whole-Body Healing

Healing isn’t just about changing thoughts – it’s about restoring balance to the mind, body, and spirit. By weaving these elements together, therapy and coaching sessions create space for both immediate relief and long-term transformation.

Mind

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply connected. When patterns become negative or self-defeating, they can keep us stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, or destructive behaviors. Using CBT strategies, we work to:

  • Identify unhelpful thought patterns
  • Shift beliefs that fuel stress or hopelessness
  • Develop healthier coping skills
  • Build lasting self-awareness

CBT creates a strong foundation for emotional change, helping you regain a sense of clarity and control.

Body

Somatic Therapy & Nervous System Regulation

Trauma and stress live in the body as much as in the mind. If your body feels tense, unsafe, or constantly on edge, healing requires more than talk therapy. In our work, I integrate somatic practices such as:

  • Grounding exercises to anchor you in the present
  • Breathwork to calm the nervous system
  • Gentle movement to release tension
  • Body awareness to reconnect with physical safety

By helping your nervous system regulate, these tools allow deeper healing and restore the sense of being safe in your own body.

Spirit

Exploring Meaning, Purpose & Presence

Healing also involves the spiritual dimension – whatever that means for you. This may include:

  • Exploring personal beliefs
  • Reconnecting with intuition and inner wisdom
  • Cultivating presence and mindfulness
  • Rediscovering purpose and meaning in daily life

This work is always client-centered. You don’t need to identify as “spiritual” to benefit – together we’ll integrate practices in a way that feels authentic and supportive to you.

What We Do

Compassionate, Client-Centered Care

At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. My role is not to tell you who you are or how to live – but to offer guidance, strategies, and compassionate presence as you explore your own path.

I believe you are the expert on your own experience.

I honor your pace and respect your boundaries.

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing can unfold.

Healing is not a straight line – it’s a spiral. Each step brings you closer to resilience, clarity, and connection with your true self.
